Handling status bar in a webapp

Hi i’m creating a webapp and i expect the users will “add at homescreen” the webapp in their iphones, the “hide safari UI option” is checked,it works fine. But there is a problem, the IOS Status Bar overlaps with my menu button so it cant be pressed. Im looking to implement one of the following solutions:

1.-Hide the status bar
2.-My webapp doest show any content below the status bar

Does some knows how to handle this?

I have a white bar at the top, where battery and time etc is… any ideas how to get rid of that too?
