Hiring Intermediate to Senior Bubble Developer

Hi All, I am looking to hire an intermediate to senior bubble developer to start within the next few weeks. The hourly rate is $25-$30/hr for up to 15 hours per week.

NO AGENCIES PLEASE.

Below is the job description:

The company is Genie. Genie offers a comprehensive suite of solutions helping and allowing seniors to create, edit and share a legacy with friends and family.

We are building our product from scratch (although may potentially use the AirDev template) using Bubble.io.

The scope of the project will include:

  • Permission/Privacy for 5 different types of users
  • Video calls that need to be recorded and replayed afterwards (experience with this is a HUGE plus). We expect this to require some sort of API integration.
  • Stripe payment integration - make payments, provide refunds, review payment history
  • Web responsive app
  • Android and iOS app (will launch on both app stores)
  • Calendar management
  • Chat messaging system
  • Notification system
  • In-app Activity Tracking
  • We are currently debating whether to use the AirDev template for this project. It is possible that we choose not to and build from scratch
  • We also plan on using Figma to import designs into the application. Although it would be helpful to have someone experienced with this, we expect this role to be focused more on intermediate to advanced workflows + API integrations.

We’d expect the developer we hire is capable to do 80-90% of this work, but would primarily focus on the more advanced workflows + API integrations.

Additionally, this developer must:

  • Have experience using the new Bubble responsive engine AND the old responsive engine
  • 2-3 years of bubble experience and a web and mobile apps in their portfolio
  • Proficient English communication skills
  • Experienced working in a remote environment and using tools like Jira and Slack for day to day communication
  • Reliably up to 15 hours of availability for work each week

Just an FYI - the market rate for a dev with those sorts of quals is at least 3-4 x higher than what you are offering.

Hi, is the positions still open

If he hires someone who is not lying about their skills and accepts the offer for $30/hr, that person doesn’t really know the value of his or her work.

In another scenario, he will hire someone who is lying about their experience and the dev process will be a mess :disappointed_relieved:
