How to Implement Real-Time Audio Waveform Visualization in Bubble.io

Hi Bubble Community,

I’m working on a Bubble.io application and I’m looking to add a real-time audio waveform visualization feature. The idea is to capture audio from the user’s microphone and display the waveform in real-time as the user interacts with our AI agent, similar to how speech waveforms are displayed in voice assistants like ChatGPT.

I understand that this might involve using custom JavaScript and the Web Audio API, but I’m not sure how to integrate this effectively within Bubble.io. Specifically, I’m looking for guidance on:

How to capture live audio input using the Web Audio API.
How to visualize the audio waveform in real-time using an HTML5 canvas or any suitable plugin.
Any existing plugins or resources in Bubble.io that could simplify this process.
Best practices for integrating custom code within a Bubble.io application.

If anyone has experience with this or can point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it. Any code snippets, tutorials, or examples would be incredibly helpful.

Thank you in advance!

Hi. I have a plugin I haven’t finished that could work for what you need. Shoot me a DM and maybe it can work for you. I’m not sure about processing the audio waves live, but definitely after the file is done and ready to be rendered.

Try this - Knowcode | Audio Recorder with Pause - has a nice waveform.
