How to make changes to a List of Things?

Hi,

I think I am on the right track with my workflow but step 3 isn’t working. When a user returns to add a line=item to an invoice, I just need that new line-item to be added to the total.

Workflow - Step 1
Create line item

Save the line items to a custom group (this get’s added to final invoice when another ‘Save invoice’ button is clicked).

Make changes to a list of things. I am trying to add the new line-items to the custom state so that the final invoice is updated. Am I doing this correctly?

This step doesn’t make any sense (and I don’t understand the use for it?..)

‘Make changes to a list of things’ means make changes to a list of things in the database…

So what are you trying to do here (in your screenshot you’re not making any changes)…? What changes are you trying to make to the line-items?

What you say does make sense, I need to update the custom state for the line items. The trouble is, when I do the following, the invoice IS updated for about 1 second and then the entire invoice is deleted. It is literally deleted automatically.

Deleted? From the database?..

Then you must be deleting it somehow.

Use the debugger to find out where

haha, now it is NOT deleting. I changed nothing since my last reply to you. I honestly think Bubble has delays or something which causes ghost actions.

Like my other post I put up just now, Invoice’s Status no longer updates whereas yesterday it did update.

Since the above was posted, the Status update worked for aprox 20 mins then stopped working. Do you think I have a bug in my account or something, is that possible? I can’t really progress like this.
