I’m Williams, a UI/UX Designer and No-Code Developer. While I have over five years of professional experience in design, I consider myself to have 1 year of focused, hands-on experience in Bubble web development.
I am currently looking for my next role and am open to any work arrangement, including entry-level positions, freelance contracts, or full-time employment with an agency. I’m not picky about the level or position, I just need to start somewhere and grow from there.
To demonstrate my capabilities, I’d like to showcase Pezzycryptfu. Although this project spans a longer period (more than 3 years actually), the actual development represents a year of concentrated effort where I mastered:
Advanced Backend Workflows: Building and optimizing complex server-side logic for automation.
API, Scheduling & Webhook Management: Integrating external services ( like Plisio and Plunk), and handling real-time data flows. Implementing precisely timed actions and background tasks, building and optimizing complex server-side logic to handle data processing.
Design-First Approach: Leveraged my UI/UX background to ensure the platform is professional and intuitive.
I combine a great design eye with a grounded, technical approach to the Bubble backend. Whether you need an entry-level developer to grow with your agency or a freelancer to knock out a specific build, I’m ready to start immediately.
You are not the only one who is trying to find a. project. I spent around 6 years studying js/python databases and etc. After many years i shift to bubble presuming it can be easier to gain some money. Now i think in absolutely other ways. I built my small channel with no goals in reach and views. Building for myself. I would wish more to focus on advanced technologies rather to drag and drop bubble squares.
I never heard such a thing… 6 years of knowledge and no job.. switching to bubble because it’d be “easier” … What could possibly be stopping you from learning new tech I wonder
It is possible. I have been in Bubble since 2023, and looking everywhere for some job in the space. I have tried on platforms, linkedin, indeed, jobslin, freelancer even agency website. Not a single one wanted an early or junior bubble developer. Some even kindly told me to beef up my resume, by doing more bubble project or completing the current one I was working on to amass more employable skills in bubble. Fast forward to 2026 and I have done exactly that. Taken a project from conception to full live product, burning through everything I have and running on fumes 90% of the time. And it still looks like the same outcome. Well, let’s see, I’ll keep pushing forward looking for that one person or company that’ll give me a sliver of chance.
Maybe it’s because of my location, maybe it’s because of the way things are ever shifting in the tech space, maybe it’s because I’m at the bottom of the pecking order…but it’s not because I don’t have the skill or I haven’t tried.
It is entirely possible that you can do everything right, have all the right skills and still be looking for a job or unemployed. It’s the sad reality for most people out there.
It’s just that people want to focus on the wrong things.
Too many people are trying to focus on a global app (since we’re talking apps).
There’s a ton of work right outside everyone’s door that can make anyone enough money to live comfortably.
I could name at least 10 local apps that would be useful right now for any local community.
If someone is sitting around waiting for someone to hire them… that’s a problem.
You can build for free on Bubble. You can then get a 14-day free trial. The lowest plan is $32 per month, which is sufficient to run most apps to start.
For me if I were the authority I would like to see the iterations you made, iterations are everything. For that you need users and actual product. In your case you don’t have one but you have a purpose, to showcase your service, but when I click that crypto stuff, I see 45/3 secs performance on lighthouse, it could be 80/1.8 to 2secs, trust me it tells a lot.
Yes, and being an entrepreneur is working… you’re just working for yourself.
Anyway, I was puzzled by the post that said they couldn’t find anyone to hire them to build a Bubble app… and they had gone through their savings.
Ok, I mean sometimes you either get resourceful and build a successful app for yourself… or you go out and get another job to pay the bills until you can do what you want. It’s the ‘do what you have to do, so you can eventually do what you want to do’ thing.
Hey @Panto9 , I’d love for you to find something … so you probably want remove that last sentence, as a starter.
If you’ve received this feedback more than once, maybe make sure you don’t receive that feedback again.
Location doesn’t matter as long as you’re reliable, do everything you can to solve locational constraints.
What does bottom of the pecking order mean, in this context?
I know it’s not always possible to solve these issues, or address feedback because of circumstances that many wouldn’t understand but if you actually try your best, you shouldn’t fail.
I see the OP is from Nigeria. Last year, Lagos was named the world’s fastest-growing tech ecosystem.
Multiple apps have been built by Nigerian developers that are worth over a billion dollars in value… and all the developers didn’t come from wealthy backgrounds.
So, as I said, there are no excuses as to why someone can’t be successful.
I hope everyone can make a lot of money and be successful… just don’t let excuses control your outcome
If I were a recuiter and I see one app in your portfolio my immediate conclusion is that you are an ‘unsuccessful founder’ and not a Bubble developer.
Maybe that’s just me though.
If that is the case, be honest about your past and be honest about your intentions, if that correlates with with your work ethic given the opportunity you should do well long term.
I am no expert, I just think there are one or two things that you could immediately address to improve your chances of being given an opportunity.
Totally wrong, 1 production grade app & founder knowledge > 20 portfolio stuff. When you actually make a production grade app in Bubble thats when you actually see the limitations.
Instead of focusing on jobs within bubble agencies how about if you used your skills to make great website apps for other regular people such as local business owners?
There’s a lot of small companies out there who you could likely help by improving their websites & brand - Local gyms, cafes, physiotherapists, yoga teachers etc, hairdressers - the list goes on. Doesn’t even need to be local but it’s a good place to start as you could chat with them in person & build long term relationships.
All this would certainly help “beef up your resume” WHILE bringing in income too. If clever you could even offer commission based income for example x% of any business that comes to them through the website. Think outside of the box. You got this
Saying stuff like this is part of the reason you’re probably finding it hard to get hired.
This reads as ‘nobody will hire me’ - so, why would I hire you? The fact you’re looking so hard for work is, unfortunately, a signal to potential clients that there might be reasons you’re not in work.
This also represents a kind of victim attitude. Which I know is harsh, and I’m not saying you have that attitude - but that’s what saying stuff like this conveys.
You are not entitled to work or entitled to people hiring you. It is on you to demonstrate the value that you can provide, and implement that value.
If you:
deliver value that people are looking for
successfully communicate the value you deliver
That is all you need to get hired. If you’re not getting hired, one or both are false.
I could’t agree more. Lot of problem out there to solve from people around us. Learning bubble opens so many possiblities specially with native mobile is available now.
I have learnt bubble from 8 months for my app, which is still in making but parallel I was able to get 2 projects to build MVP, which helps me to get more experience with tool and also earn extra buck in side.
Getting bubble project might be difficult but you need to be persistant. And might need to work with low prices to build portfolio.
