The area devs are interested in is anything but AI. Bubble is prioritizing things it thinks are important. But these priorities are not what developers think are important. Developers are the customers that pay the bills, I’d listen to them.
Your theory is indeed correct. I can solve 95% of the problems one faces on a web app. And yesterday when we were arguing about limitations on fetching data state, an AI rookie called me ungrateful with a passive agressive manner.
This path will net lead to a worse, no solutions just vibes community.
First of all, you’re dead wrong. Parallel processing is an absolute must for AI agents to function properly which is probably the #1 trend in software, to the point where even OpenAI had to release an Agent Builder to compete with n8n etc.
5 minute cap on workflows and no parallel processing is an absolute joke in 2025/2026.
They ultimately lost hundreds of millions of dollars to a new wave of slop builders and automation tools because the platform has functionally remained the same since 2023 instead of being THE place to build AI SaaS + automations.
They still think people are going to join/grow Bubble by building point of sale software for laundromats. That’s over with. Those niches have been conquered already.
They still think that mobile apps will be the next “killer product,” despite mobile apps being a 2009 trend and not even all that profitable due to the 30% Apple hike.
The only sliver of hope I have left is @emmanuel recently stating his dissatisfaction with how JSON is handled by the API connector during a recent live stream. Maybe he also has a gut feeling that they’ve lost their way and is trying to reconnect with the community.
I warned them in February about what’s coming but not much progress since then.
@fede.bubble does a very important job. I hope the bubble bosses appreciate him and realise just how important his role is. Most of the frustrations come not from bubble itself but from the lack of communication.
If they said “guys we know we promised X, but have had to re-prioritise focus due to Y” most would accept that and appreciate the transparency.
They need more Fedes, the bridge between the community and the company.
Also I realise there’s now a changelog but a roadmap page that shows current status of those features would be very nice indeed.

thanks! Made my day reading this. I will always advocate for the community to bring your concerns to the team and to bring team information to you
Thanks for the feedback everyone and for looping me in @wardey0513. I understand the frustration that Bubble hasn’t yet delivered some of the capabilities mentioned at Bubble Con last year, and I agree that the product needs to improve to better meet users’ needs. It’s been helpful to hear from the community which issues are most pressing as I ramp up and have prioritization conversations with the team. Please continue to share this feedback.
