It’s so necessary.
AI became over Hyped and Mobile got tougher to implement
I was thinking the same thing. Would love an official update on conditionals.
The new logs page looked fantastic ![]()
This is the basic thing that was promised; it should have been released already. We’re approaching 2026.
AI has taken the lead in priorities,
.
But it could certainly have been released already.
Plans change. And I’m totally fine with that. There’s absolutely no problem with it.
But acting as if the announcement never happened, dodging questions, and providing zero official information about it feels wrong to me. It even feels disrespectful to the people who believed in it.
What about acting if everything is great? Bubble’s No-Code Manifesto, Revised: Let’s Raise the Bar
As far as I am able to judge, Bubble is a 6-7/10 product, treat it that way. If you are a beginner good luck, if you are a power user good luck. If you are in the middle, you are in the right place. Expect your product to be 6-7 and expect Bubble’s commitment to their promises and manifestos and branding as 6-7/10
I don’t know… transparency and honesty are non-negotiable values for me, regardless of whether you have an amazing product or an average one. Treating your customer base with respect is essential to maintaining the market’s trust. Announcing things that will never be delivered feels like a dangerous strategy, since it puts the credibility of any future announcement at risk.
I think 3 things is baked in right now. 1) Bubble community is strong 2)Bubble is very very slow progressing company 3)Credibility is not there
This is from my own experience, frequency that I see people saying “you should report a bug significantly dropped” and for the slowness I see very long estimations by community, if you ask someone in the forum when will Bubble native work or when will they be able to move infastructure to Europe, they will say 2028-2029.
Not a defense.. My two cents.. I feel like this is pretty cut and dry why those promises weren’t fulfilled.
Bubble has investors. Those improvements to the platform, albeit awesome, won’t generate the same amount of revenue/marketing buzz as AI and Mobile. “Can they do that today?” - An investor. “Yes, just could be done better visually” - Bubble. “Then let’s prioritize AI/Mobile since we don’t want to miss that train - Priorities." - An investor.
I would wager if you got Emmanuel and Josh together and talked with them privately, they’d prefer spending time on those promises vs. AI/Mobile..
The reality of tech now-a-days. Every one of my software clients is asking for AI - Normal, everyday folks, that’s what resonates. Mobile as well. I don’t particularly like working on it.. But it’s what is paying the bills - And growing our company.
I don’t envy the position Bubble is in - Comes with the territory. If they make the train, so to speak, on AI/Mobile and it vertically launches Bubble, they will go public and all the investors and Bubble staff will be well compensated for their efforts along with the clout of being “there” for a hot new IPO.
A “re-skinned” UI for how loops, conditional branching, and parallel/serial processing just isn’t going to get them to the ultimate 100,000 foot goal. (As much as I hate saying that because they would be awesome improvements).
Okay for loops let’s say you are right. What about native elements that are both friendly for beginners and bakes in to Bubble AI outputs, win-win, they don’t even do that.
Yes I kept asking them for this and the answer was this:
“ just wanted to drop by to reinforce the notion that the team is aware. I’ve brought it up to them a few times since the new WF tab went out in May, and they have also done their own research/work around branches, loops, parallel wfs, etc.
So it’s not a case of “they forgot” or “typical half-baked bubble launch”, and more of the team having to juggle priorities in Q3 and Q4.
But 100% they are aware that this is the next evolution of the WF tab and that users want this badly. And it’s coming, just not as soon as we had all hoped. “ by @fede.bubble
Unfortunately they want to invest in AI only.
that’s not what I meant. The reality is that we have very real engineering constraints and we are investing across the board. The infra is getting better, mobile editor is better, the editor is getting new upgrades, the security dashboard reports are much better now, and the list goes on and on.
I know it’s frustrating not to see progress in the particular area you are invested in. It’s frustrating for us too. We want to bring the best Bubble possible to the world
I was typing a response to the thread but seeing as you’re here I’ll direct to you @fede.bubble
The mobile builder is improving (I love it) but it’s all a bit pointless without being able to publish.
I’ve had a couple of months of non-stop issues. Apple is eventually working, but Android is turning into a nightmare.
First it was READ_MEDIA_IMAGES/READ_MEDIA_VIDEO (on an app that only wants to upload a logo), then the 16kb page size (like this was a surprise to Bubble) and now I’m on FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK which no doubt will take another few weeks to fix.
It’s not the fact that there are problems. We all expected that. It’s the fact that it take WEEKs to fix and there is zero feedback. It’s left to me to ask for updates which are always met with the usual canned “appreciate your patience as we look into this.”
I’ve spent a couple of years telling people how amazing Bubble is. But these problems and lack of transparency means I’m burning through the goodwill and reputation at an alarming rate in my world. This makes me really pi**ed off.
So, I’m going to have ANOTHER difficult conversation with an already angry customer to tell them that I have no idea when we can publish the Android version of their now launched app. That’s just not good enough.
We can all the shiny AI tools in the world but it counts for nothing if the basic product doesn’t reliably do what Bubble told us would do. Please fix it.
thanks for taking the time to share @jonathan.pepper
have you had a chance to read through this update from Nick?
@fede.bubble I shall keep an eye on this thank you. But, at the risk of sounding ungrateful, it’s a little pointless worrying about payment systems if there is no app in the Play Store for users to download.
of course. I’m sharing mostly because Nick did share in there (for transparency) why things have been moving slower than we would have liked
@brian.levee Are you reading these comments? AI is way less important to actual developers who just want a working, reliable and performant dev tool. As opposed to Bubble execs who just want AI so they can get more new users using their platform and paying monthly subscriptions. By their own admission anyone will be able to create their own apps which in turn makes the need for actual developers less which in turn takes money from our pocket - but it puts more in yours…
But lets say you get all of these new rookie “Vibe” developers coming onboard to Bubble. They’re going to be faced with the exact same challenges and frustrations that us more experienced developers are. And at least the existing dev’s have the experience and knowledge to work around these Bubble limitations. But the new rookie’s won’t have this knowledge, so now you’ll have a platform full of inexperienced rookies because all of the actual developers left for other more stable platforms.
If I was in charge of the future of Bubble, I would see that as concerning.
But that’s just 40 years in the software development industry talking, what does an old guy like me know?
Why don’t you pause peoples monthly fees for mobile until you have a product fully baked and ready to go with the features that you promised?
I see the development to implement the new fees didn’t have any delays or resource shortages ![]()
