Issue: Apex Chart - 54 Charts & Graphs Plugin

Hi everyone,

Is there anyone facing issues with Apex Chart - 54 Charts & Graphs Plugin lately?

The old charts I have set up using this Plugin are working just fine, but when I set up new ones, they don’t return data or the chart is completely invisible.

I have been using this plugin for a while all over my bubble app, I’ve never seen an issue with it until this week. Even when I copy and paste the exact same functioning chart in a different page, it doesn’t work.

I appreciate any insight that can help. @ZeroqodeSupport

Thank you

I have found a few issues since it went over from @Thimo to Zeroqode unfortunately. But nothing game breaking.

Hi @fza ,

Thanks for flagging this!

We haven’t received similar reports so far. To double-check, we went ahead and set up new charts using the same expressions as the older ones, and everything seems to be working as expected on our side.

To help us get to the bottom of it, could you please share a few more details? A screenshot of the debugger (to confirm whether the chart is actually pulling data) along with your chart configuration would be super helpful.

That way, we can try to replicate your exact setup and see what might be causing the issue.

Looking forward to your reply.

Chart 1: BarChart(MultipleSeries)

I am sharing below the debugger, and the layout confirming that the chart is visible and not carrying any conditional.

Chart 2: RadialChart

For this case, I have copied and pasted the exact same Radial Chart in the plugin page (Editor) with static value to double-check if my setup or my chart configuration is not correct. However, the chart is still not displaying data.

The weird part is that I have these charts from this plugin set up in older pages and they are working just fine. But start facing issues when setting new ones since past week.

Looking forward to hear from you,

Thanks

Hi @fza ,

Thanks a lot for sharing all the screenshots and details. :folded_hands:

This does look strange, especially since your older charts are still working fine. At this point, we’d like to confirm a couple of things:

  1. Could you please check if the plugin is updated to the latest version?
  2. Sometimes new charts can conflict with other plugins or elements on the same page. For testing, could you try setting up a simple new page with just the chart element and see if it pulls data there?

If after these checks the issue still persists, we’d be more than happy to dig in further. If it’s convenient, you could also add us as a collaborator (support@zeroqode.com) with view access so we can take a closer look on your side.

Looking forward to your update!

Hi there,

Yes, I can confirm that the plugin is updated to the latest version, and I have tested the chart in a new page that does not contain any other plugins or elements, and the issue still persist.

I have added you as a collaborator. Please check the following page: booking_admin

Looking forward to hear from you soon.

Thanks

Hi @fza ,

Thanks so much for adding us as collaborators and providing the access to your page. We’ve taken a look, and I can confirm that the charts are receiving data. However, it seems that the issue might be related to the complexity of the expression, which is preventing the charts from rendering correctly.

We replicated your plugin element settings on our test page, using both hardcoded and dynamic data. You can check it out here: Test Page Link, and everything was rendered successfully.

Could you try modifying the expression or using JSON dynamic data on your side to see if that resolves the issue? This will help us confirm whether the complexity of the expression is the cause.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Hi there,

I have tried using JSON dynamic data following the example of your Test Page, it is still not working for me.

Regarding the modification of the expression, I cannot simplify it more than this:

From this:

To this (applied to all of them):

And still not working. I have used more complicated expressions, and the chart was working just fine.

I will have to replace the charts for now, I will need to deploy as soon as possible. However, please keep me posted if you have any other suggestions or solution for this, as I really like the UI/UX of this plugin.

Thank you

Hi @fza,

Thanks a lot for your patience while we’ve been digging into this! :folded_hands:

We ran some extra tests on our side just to make sure we weren’t missing anything, and things seem consistent. To narrow it down, we’ve got a couple of suggestions:

  1. if you set the chart element with simple hardcoded values, does it render? If it does, that would confirm that the issue is related to the complexity of the expression.
  2. If it still doesn’t render even with hardcoded values, it’d be super helpful if you could give us “edit” access. That way our dev team could jump right into your page and figure out the root cause more efficiently.

We want to help you get this sorted as quickly as possible.

Looking forward to your thoughts!

Hi there,

Just to confirm that the charts are fully working now, without including any hardcoded values. I am even using the same complex expressions, and I haven’t made any changes from previous set up I have shared in this thread, which is weird.

The good news, it is working now. Thank you @ZeroqodeSupport

Hi @fza,

That’s great news :tada:

Really glad to hear everything’s working now, even with the complex expressions back in place.

Thanks a lot for confirming, we appreciate your patience throughout this process. If anything odd pops up again, just let us know and we’ll be here to dig into it with you.
