Looking for a full-time remote developer (Salary Range: $5k-8k/month)

Guided Imports helps businesses ship cargo from China to the US.

We are looking to hire our first full-time senior Bubble developer to work on building logistics-focused applications for our company to use.

We’ve been building a transportation management application with agencies, but we plan to bring this in-house. This position will be the starting point for our company to take over the development of our existing Bubble build, and continue to expand our application suite.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a remote Senior Bubble Developer to join our team and continue building our transportation management app. This role involves working directly with the business owners to understand business requirements, anticipate future needs, and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. The ideal candidate is self-driven, technically competent, and commercially aware, capable of making informed decisions without the need for constant supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a suite of logistics-focused applications using Bubble.io.
  • Collaborate with the team to gather requirements and provide technical insights.
  • Ensure the app’s performance, reliability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • Strong technical skills
  • Commercial awareness with a self-starter mindset
  • Ability to work independently and does not require micromanagement
  • Ability to learn the ins and outs of the logistics industry

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Bubble development (front-end dev and API workflows)
  • Fluent in English
  • Demonstrable experience building Bubble apps of heavy logical complexity
  • HTML, Javascript, and CSS knowledge
  • Database and data handling knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Prior experience working on MVP applications with real-world users.

Compensation:

You will receive a monthly salary of $5,000 to $8,000, based on experience.

Hi, Sboyd.

Thank you for providing us the great opportunity.
I believe I am one of the candidates with the right skills and right mindset.

Could you make the google form public so we can send application?

Thank you.

Hi @univgalaxy1112
Catching bugs already I see
The form has been updated for public use. Thank you for that.

I’m helping Sam recruit for this position.

  • You’ll likely be building your own app from the ground up rather than working on an existing one, which will allow you to implement your own strong build principles
  • This app will grow to be a core business technology used for client interaction/CRM/project management etc etc
  • The salary range is flexible but expected to be between $60k and $96k a year depending on your experience and other skills. As this is remote, you can live wherever, though, the team is in SE Asia.
  • This is a full-time, salaried position, which, depending on your lifestyle, may have more value than the freelance approach.

If you’re an appropriately qualified dev, you should consider applying for the job because Sam is genuinely looking to hire and will work to agree fair compensation (so apply even if your compensation goal falls a bit outside the salary band).

No agencies (though freelancer advertising oneself as agency is fine, but it is a full-time position).

I misread this as anyone who is qualified would be doing other things not wasting time applying for the role lol :innocent:. I had to read it thrice to understand you.

Hi @sboyd,
I have filled out the form and would love to hear back from you. I am an experinced bubble developer and am available to work Full-Time. Please let me know if we can discuss it further over a chat. Thanks

Hey @sboyd

I just wanted to clarify what you mean by ’ Have you developed MVP applications for real-world users?

Good question, @design.agx . I’ve spoken with a lot of “Bubble Developers” that never built an application, and their experience was limited.

The ideal candidate is someone who has the ability and experience to build an application from the ground up within Bubble.

In this question, I am looking to hear your experience on whether or not you’ve built any applications that started as ideas and turned into working applications with real-world users.

If you’ve never done this, no problem. If you have similar experience or complementing experience, you’re welcome to share that as well.

I hope this helps!

Application sent! Hope it’s not too late.

Hello @sboyd!

Do you consider hiring someone more junior to help with less complex but needed tasks such as UI/UX, responsiveness while the Sr. dev deals with APIs, complex backend workflows, and so on?

I think this would speed up a lot your development. Anyways, thank you for sharing this amazing opportunity.

Cheers

Hi everyone!

Thank you to all who applied. I was able to find a solution for this position with a lot of help from this community. As the app grows, I may be looking to hire someone less senior.

For those of you who did apply, I will save your information and reach out to you in the future if a position reopens.
