TLDR: Has anyone successfully gotten the full-screen Map effect similar to Google Maps/ Apple Maps in their Bubble App?
I am working with a reputable Bubble developer to revamp our UX and make our app look more like a native app. (For reference, our app is wrapped with the BDK and we’re in Apple & Google Play Stores.)
During the project for our redesign, I was told the full screen map was absolutely possible, so the design was made with that as a core part of the App. During the course of the work, it turned out that the full screen map was a huge problem because the map is on a Reusable Element, ate up a bunch of dev hours, and also resulted in several other limitations, including our ability to use loaders (to smooth out UX when a lot of data is loading. We’re a directory app so data display is the name of the game.)
My question: Is this normal? Should the full screen map be impossible to implement without clunky workarounds that then limit other aspects of the UX?
We’re using the BDK Google Maps plugin, which is awesome in so many ways, but we could change the plugin if needed. Open to any / all advice and experience on making the full screen experience possible in our App.
