My 2-Year Bubble Journey

@J805 your 100% right, learning bubble was the big pay off here. Well my biggest challenge was chasing a large library of designs. Where switched to a customized service with seasonal free drops. No pre lists, i made a lot, i mean a lot rookie mistakes in first year of the product. After two years of researching event and invite apps, number one thing i found the designs are very generic, thats the biggest entry point. Def not an easy sell by any means, but it’s something new in market thats is outdated.

Thanks for the words!

Thanks @fede.bubble! That will make my day!

@letsbuildmyapp, Thanks Alex! Well i think if we had unreal engine capabilities in bubble we would never get anything done LOL

@romanmg Appreciate it Gaby! Your channel was a big help in my early learning curve! The days when i didn’t even understand states or conditions, your videos helped me start my bubble journey!

Same! Need more Gaby!

Great job, I love how you’ve managed to build a really stylistic and creative UI within Bubble, I think the most challenging thing to do for sure. I have second guessed myself 100 times in the last 2 years with my choice of Bubble too. I have migrated my DB out to supabase as honestly the DB in Bubble is really poor if you doing heavy lifting.

I also have hosted html pages which I host on AWS for my analytics and charting, so I’ve probably targeted the 2 weakest areas of Bubble. I agree the first 6-12 months are the hardest and it is worth the perseverance. I have watched friends port into other tech stacks and are now hitting serious issues with security and scalability, which is where I feel staying with Bubble will help in the long run.

Again, well done and good luck with your launch!

Great work!

@jason41 Thanks for the comment! The early process is def a brutal curve. I looked into third party hosting AWS and did a lot experimenting with UI/UX and pushing design bounds myself.

I agree, I’m personally staying in the bubble ecosystem. While ease of AI coding and deployments is tempting, there is a major difference between an HTML wrapper and a fully driven app. Security, to custom responsiveness and deep logic alone. My invite app was not one these massive complex b2b apps, even that I have hundreds of conditional statements and workflows. As a designer first, buidler second, I am rocking with bubble!
