Need a freelancer to build bubble MVP: AI resume and proposal generator SaaS

I’ve already created a Bubble app shell. I need an experienced Bubble developer to finish the MVP build using OpenAI’s API, PDF export, Stripe subscriptions, and dashboard pages.

Scope of Work:

  1. Integrate OpenAI (GPT-4o-mini) using Bubble API Connector.

    • API call: user pastes job description + resume → AI returns JSON with tailored resume and ATS score.

    • Second call: generate freelance proposals.

  2. Database Setup: Users, Documents, Usage logs, Credits (as outlined).

  3. Workflows:

    • Generate resume/proposal → save to DB.

    • Decrement user credits.

    • Export as PDF.

  4. Stripe Integration: Paid subscriptions for Basic ($12/mo) and Pro ($29/mo). Handle free trial (5 credits).

  5. Frontend Pages:

    • Signup/Login

    • Dashboard (with credit counter + saved docs)

    • Resume Generator

    • Proposal Generator

    • Billing page

  6. Optional (Phase 2): Email onboarding with SendGrid.

Deliverable:

  • A fully working MVP I can demo to early users.

  • Clear documentation of workflows so I can maintain.

Budget:

  • Expecting $150-250 range for MVP.

  • Prefer fixed price but open to hourly (max $20–30/hr depending on experience).

Ideal Candidate:

  • Bubble.io specialist (portfolio required).

  • Has connected Bubble with APIs before (OpenAI, Stripe).

  • Can deliver quickly (1–3 weeks for MVP).

Hi @mrmason804 I don’t think you can realistically attract a competent Bubble dev with a $250 offer for an application with the specified requirements.

Please don’t take this the wrong way as this is entirely my opinion.

Lets assume:

  • this will take 1 week (40 hours to deliver) intermediate level dev and 25 hours for a Bubble specialist (with testing and documentation). I would say that’s a realistic timeline provided nothing needs to be rebuilt.
  • Bubble specialist will typically not work for less than $30/hour
    -Bubble intermediate level may average around $20 - $25 (we’ll go with $20)

With those figures you looking at a budget of around $800 and that’s assuming the designs for the UI already exist.

I could be wrong but I would say that is far more realistic a budget than $150 - $250.

You may be right, but business budget is limited. Open to negotiate but this is our starting point.

Okay, maybe I wasn’t clear on what exactly has been done particularly in relation to the pages.

Nonetheless, I understand that budgets can be really tight. I think your best bet may be Upwork, because there is more of a value exchange if you give the dev a 5-star rating which improves their prospects for future jobs..
