I don’t see any direct ad hominem attacks on Bubble staffers in this post , you just flipping your comments now . You call comments ‘‘Stupid’’ based on it being harsh or not , direct or not , politically correct or not . You call them ‘‘Stupid’’ based on your personal view of ‘‘Distasteful Comments’’
Note : Speculation about Bubble devs don’t build products on Bubble , is not a direct attack but a harsh criticism or in this case harsh speculation.
Either way, a company of Bubble’s size not paying good attention to UX/UI, or how their users really work like, or what use cases their users come to screen with, or not using their product themselves etc. are bigger crimes than a few distasteful comments. (Though, I agree that Bubble not doing those things are speculations and distasteful comments are reality)
Personal attacks would be quite bad I guess (which probably hasn’t happened anyway), but some venting of frustration that builds in people who develop applications using this platform, earn their living using it, spend their large parts of the day on the editor, are expectable, even if not acceptable.
I’m not gonna single out any posts but if neither of you can spot em then I guess we have differing perceptions on what constitutes attacking staff. Still stupid.
Criticism can be harsh but it should be qualified constructively. Otherwise it’s just a rant.
I would like to keep this thread useful for those commenting on the beta (you can add to the megathread discussion here). Discussion on how Bubble listens to user feedback is a separate convo and should take place in a new topic.
The team does listen to feedback, and they’ve been rolling out updates to the beta every week based on user input. With five-figures worth of users trying out the beta, there are a lot of voices to take into account. We know that the speed and type of updates might not always be what you expect, but know that we’re always working to make the user experience better for everyone.
+1 on the ability to see workflows horizontally or vertically.
Also, would be nice to have the ability to have sub folders in workflow folders.
For example I use different third parties in my app and have a lot of backend workflows for some of them. Would be nice to have a folder for example third party A, and have subfolder to organize my workflows in it.
Example:
I have a CRM integration, my user can log into their CRM account from my app, and connect it through an oauth flow. And have also a lot of backend workflows for this integration (get data, post data into their crm) for many different usecases.
Id like to have a workflow folder named CRM
And have different subfolders in it to separate Oauth / token workflows from other workflows that push and pull data from their account.
P.S. This is frankensteined together, but I just wanted to show the concept of retaining some kind of grid view but still showing an event’s actions in the new way as a vertical list on the right.
I’m Zoe, an Engineering Manager at Bubble, and I wanted to share some more updates the team has made to the Beta experience!
We’ve just shipped an update to simplify navigation between triggering actions and triggered workflows! You’ll now find a Back button in the toolbar next to the workflow name (see screenshot). This lets you easily return to the previous workflow in a chain of triggered workflows, making it smoother to navigate through chained workflows.
We are continuing to ship bug fixes. For example, we recently shipped a fix for a behavior where the workflow tab was erroring out in some cases after merging or switching pages. Please continue to submit bug reports if you encounter anything unexpected!
As always, thank you for the continued feedback - there are lots of great ideas for us to take into account as we plan for future improvements. Here are some of the improvements we are working on:
We are testing changes that would make Backend Workflows their own tab! This will make them easier to access and will provide a smoother experience when navigating back to a particular page.
We are working towards implementing a “Focus mode” view which will allow you have a condensed look at the actions in a given workflow. This will make it much easier to see what’s going on in very complex, action-packed workflows!
We have some other improvements coming down the pipeline, including the ability to search by a workflow’s API endpoint name.
More updates to come while we continue to build a workflow management experience that best fits your needs. Stay tuned!
It’s been a while since it was requested, even with the old UI. Can you also consider doing this for API Connector? (that should be added to all app by default instead of a plugin)
For now, I can only agree with a lot of comments about list of flows that could be improved. I hope to see other features like if/then, loop released sooner then getting UI improvment.
To continue this general line of logic, it would be great if you could see a “grayed out” version of custom events in a branch while looking at workflows. Helps to get an “all-in-one” view rather than having to switch back and forth and mentally combine the logic.
I second this. API Connector should have a separate tab called Connections or Integrations, and should come baked in, instead of having to install a plugin.
Moving the API Connector away from the Plugins tab will give us a fullscreen UI to work with and possibly an area for AI assisted API integrations, where simply pasting the external API documentation page link into an input field will give users step by step instructions to complete the integration in Bubble, or format all available endpoints into the API connector. I’ve seen other no-code tools do this and it would be very helpful for Bubble users, specially beginners.
Yeah, is there a path where when no workflow is selected, there’s a megamenu that fills the empty space with the workflows in a similar manner to before?
It would be great to have a “Copy All Actions From Here” option in Workflow. This would allow us to copy a chain of actions at once instead of having to copy them individually.
I discovered this useful function in the GoHighLevel application, and it significantly boosts productivity. It would be a great addition if Bubble implemented it to enhance our workflow efficiency.
Kind of funky but accomplishes what we need. The “ideal” way to do this is to allow selecting/highlighting multiple actions or even CTRL clicking them one by one.
