[NEW PLUGIN] COOKIE AI – free cookie consent banner, no element or workflow needed

Hello,

I’ve just published COOKIE AI, a free cookie consent plugin for Bubble.

I built it because every option I tried meant either dropping an element and a page-load workflow on every page, or paying for an outside consent service that doesn’t talk to Bubble workflows. I wanted something you install once and forget.

How it works

  1. Install the plugin. A banner appears on every page straight away.
  2. Optionally, fill in the settings in your Plugins tab: policy link, wording, colours, consent mode.
  3. Add a “Cookie settings” link to your footer with the Open cookie settings action.

That’s it. No element to place, no workflow on page load.

What it handles

  • Ask-first consent for the EU and UK, opt-out for the US, and it honours the Global Privacy Control signal
  • Holds back Google Analytics, Meta Pixel and other tracking scripts until the visitor agrees, and removes their cookies if the visitor changes their mind
  • Google Consent Mode v2, so GA4 and Google Ads keep working properly
  • Accept all / Choose / Reject all, plus a preferences panel for Preferences, Analytics and Marketing
  • 8 workflow actions, including set, get and delete cookie with SameSite, Secure, domain and expiry
  • An optional element if you want live values (“Analytics allowed”, “Consent given”) and events in your workflows

Everything runs in the visitor’s browser. No external calls, no account, and nothing is sent to me.

Try it: demo page. Open it in a private window to see the banner, then check the Network tab: Google Analytics doesn’t load until you click Accept.

One tip for free-plan apps: Bubble doesn’t publish header scripts on the free plan, so put tracking scripts in an HTML element instead. The instructions tab explains how.
