I’m excited to introduce a brand new and FREE plugin for visual lovers, designers, and app creators:

:brain: Yow-Color Extractor

Extract the dominant color and a full color palette from any image URL — instantly, and without server-side processing!

:sparkles: What it does:

This plugin uses the open-source Color Thief library to analyze any image and return:

  • :bullseye: Dominant Color (Hex code)
  • :artist_palette: Color Palette (Array of Hex codes)

It’s great for apps that:

  • Auto-style user-generated content
  • Generate themes from images
  • Personalize dashboards, charts, or background elements
  • Build design tools with dynamic color extraction

:gear: How to use:

  1. Drop the Color Thief Extractor element on your page
  2. Set:
  • Image URL (can be dynamic)
  • Number of Colors (default is 5)
  1. Access the exposed states:
  • Dominant Color
  • Color Palette (as list of text/hex)

Optional: trigger a workflow when color extraction completes.
