Page loading best practices

That’s a great solution… thank you

Thanks for this advice Patricia.
It helped me a lot!

Hi Folks!

@patricia have you looked into using list-custom-states on the page or on any group instead of hidden RGs? … I do this and my pages are very fast. I find the use of hidden RGs as very creative! … Is this faster than using list values on the page? (ie… custom states)

@cmarchan apologies for the tardiness of my reply. I have not been browsing the forum recently and must have missed the email your post should have sent. Lots going on and my usual inbox zero has been inbox two-hundred for the past couple of months so it’s probably I overlooked it.

Yes, I have used the list-custom-states and found them the fastest approach of the lot. They are my preferred method, followed closely by Option Sets, but sometimes when the lists are really long or prone to user changes and then I have found the hidden RGs to really help … although I’m not convinced putting them on a popup actually loads them in advance (my testing was incomplete and inconclusive), I did however find putting them on a floating group that floats behind the page worked. Although they do slow loads down somewhat so I look forward to the performance of db searches improving.
