Just wanted to put up a little kudos to @nick.carroll and the team for the recent update they’ve forced built the other day. I might be one of the first to redeployed my app both on android and ios and so far i’ve seen VAST improvements in load-time speed, data-pull speed and the overall glitchy feel between views and tabs.
In saying this, I’d love for there to be some sort of announcement/patch/release notes when these new builds are made going forward, since it both rewards the Bubble.io team through recognition of their effort, and also allows us as the developer to know whether or not a rebuild is urgent or can wait. Big ups again.
Absolutely! This update has been a real life-saver on my end too. Like you said so well, having a brief announcement or change-log whenever a new build goes live would be hugely helpful, both to recognise the team’s work and to let us plan our testing and rollouts. Thanks again for the great improvements!
It feels like almost a core industry standard for software updates to be announced to their users. And imo there’s no such thing as too small of an announcement, makes the ecosystem feel healthy and active.
I agree with this so much. I would much prefer to refer to a list of changes to see if things I’ve been waiting for are working, vs just wandering around the app checking periodically with hope.
Real shame it got removed. In a community where the primary persistent concern is that Bubble is too slow and doesn’t get things done, I don’t get why Bubble doesn’t shout from the rooftops about what they’re up to, even the little things, because they should be celebrated…
While I think that might improve the overall product and pace of improvement, it runs the risk of the new investors putting prices up again to make a return on their investment.
Back to topic, a comprehensive changelog is a non-negotiable, specially with the well documented reliability issues and often bug ridden releases. Hugely disappointing this was taken down.
I need more than a few things updated for my app to work properly. We’re not able to play videos and we’re building a streaming app. Transitions and app animations are not possible. The bottom icon bar can handle pop ups. Will these things be worked on soon?
