I’m using the Mobile Beta App and installed a few plugins (like calendar and line charts). However, I can’t see them anywhere in the editor. I’m currently on the Starter plan – could this be the reason, or am I missing something?
Instead of reposting here several times, did you ask this same question to the bubble bot? Go to bubble.io, you can find it at the bottom right. If there is a need to open a ticket he will do it for you.
I understand this is frustrating, and I’m sorry for the trouble. Let me explain what’s happening with your plugins in the Mobile Beta App editor.
The reason you can’t see your calendar and line chart plugins in the mobile editor isn’t related to your Starter plan - it’s because only plugins specifically built to support native mobile will appear in the mobile elements panel or workflow tab.
Most existing plugins, including calendar and line chart plugins, haven’t been updated for mobile compatibility yet. If you’re not seeing certain plugin elements or actions in the mobile editor, it means those parts of the plugin aren’t mobile-compatible.
Here’s what you need to know:
• Backend plugins (like those making API calls) can still function in both web and mobile apps
• Client-side plugins may not work as expected if they haven’t been built to support mobile apps
• Mobile plugin development is currently in alpha testing, with only select plugins supporting Native Mobile elements or actions
You can identify mobile-compatible plugins in the Plugin Marketplace using the new platform compatibility filter. For now, we recommend utilizing native mobile features as much as possible while our team actively works on expanding mobile-compatible plugins.
However, beware, some plugins are categorized as Mobile ready and are not. I experienced it myself. The developer told me it was Bubble who marked it as mobile ready. Bubble told me to talk to the developer… the plugin is question is the audio recorder pausable from knowcode.
