Searching vs filtering - IN BACKEND WORKFLOWS

Hi,

I understand that using search for: and adding constraints to the search is faster than using listX:filtered because search for is done server side while filters are applied client side.

In the case of backend workflows (where I suppose everything is run server side), is searching still superior to filtering? Is there any difference here?

Any update on this? I am doing filtered on the backend as well. I would like to know the difference too. :grinning:
