Simple Plagiarism Verifier Plugin by Rapid Dev!

Hi Bubblers!
February continues with good news, and this time we published a plugin that will help you to detect the percentage of copied text.

It allows you to compare two pieces of text and determine their similarity. This plugin analyzes the structure and phrasing of the texts, providing a percentage score that represents the degree of similarity between them.

With the Plagiarism Verifier Plugin, you can ensure the authenticity of your content and maintain the highest standards of academic and professional integrity.

Please note that while this plugin provides a useful measure of text similarity, it should be used as part of a comprehensive approach to detecting and preventing plagiarism.

How does this work behind the scenes (as that dictates how effective it is as a measure)? Are you getting a vector value for both texts and then calculating their similarity or is it something else?

Hi @georgecollier, thanks for a good question.

Regretfully, the API provider didn’t specify much about the used method.
They mentioned that:

The Text Similarity API normally uses a semantic algorithm for computing similarity of texts.

Hope this helps somehow. If there is anything else that we can help about our plugin, drop us a message

Will it be able to compare a text to a list of text already existing in my data base to find similarities and show the most similar

Hi @virank, thanks for your question.

We pushed an update that now allows to use plagiarism plugin in repeating groups to verify multiple texts at once.
Please see the demo page for a workable setup.

Hope this helps with your case. If there is anything else that we can help with about our plugin, drop a message here
