Split by regex - new function?

As a bubble newbie, I am wandering if this is a right forum to ask bubble for a new function “split by regex”. Current approach of “split by->extract with regex->select return list instance” covers a rather insignificant scope of regex opportunities. If needed, I can certainly elaborate further.
