Struggling with groub by filter by date

I am still struggling to get a repeating group to filter by date (my date picker is set only by month). where do i control this?

1. control in group where you put another grouping by creation date?
2. control in constrain where you put creation date = picker month?

This is teh view i wanted for my RG
