I was able to do some research and look into another topic that was posted regarding this same issue, dynamic width:
The findings from this post is that the only real way to be able to do this would be to have separately created “background” groups and determine which one to show based off of the number of characters. Emmanuel did mention that there are no plans to implement the dynamic width feature in the future.
