Anyone experiencing very slow database copying from live to development?
This action previously took around 60 minutes to complete, but now it’s been 2 hours and only 35% of the way…
Yes - Actually I have a support ticket open.. Mine got stuck. I started it yesterday morning. The Live that I was pulling from had 10,800 records in it… But it had a lot of references to other tables.
Before i had pulled the table with 10,800 records, I pulled one with only a few thousand and it took around 10-15 minutes.
Waiting for support to assist. Just sent them a screen recording. I’ll keep you posted.
Ah what a nightmare! Thanks for sharing. Am guessing you can’t do any more development work until it’s resolved, like me.
They cancelled the stopped “Copy from live to development”… However, I now tried to run another one, and it got stuck again.. So the process starts over again.
I believe there’s something going on under the hood. I only have around 30,000 records.
To everyone, if you are having your “Copy from live to development” or “Copy from development to live” stop mid-progress, there does seem to be an underlying issue. I have a ticket in with Bubble right now.
It may be related to tables with lots of references to other tables.. I’ve had a few copies on tables with straightforward data that went off without a hitch on thousands of records..
RESOLVED Underlying issue fixed (and a nice shout out to Bubble support - Turnaround was quick!). Hopefully this will help anyone else who may have been having issues with copying data.
