What's the thin blue line across the top of the browser window

When I am running my Bubble app there are many times when I see a thin blue line at the top of the page, underneath the browsers address bar.

Maybe this line happens in other apps, but I only seem to notice it in mine.

It looks like some kind of status indicator, such as when the app is paused, or saving, or something like that.

The daft thing is I don’t know whether the line is slowing down my app or my app is being slow and causing the thin blue line to appear.

Any help much appreciated.

Hi there, @Siddhartha… that thin blue line is Bubble’s built-in progress bar to show the progress of any process (workflow) that is taking some time to complete. Interestingly enough, you can actually change the color of that bar if you’d like in the Settings >> General area of the system.

The bar itself is definitely not slowing your app down. Quite the contrary… when you see the bar, it can be an indication that a particular workflow might have some inefficiencies and that by addressing them, your app could be faster.

Hope this helps.

Best…
Mike

Thanks for that info Mike.

If he have some ‘Add a pause before next action’ steps in the workflow, would that cause this thin blue line to appear?

check mark the “hide the status bar as the pause occurs” box in that work flow and you wont see the progress bar. It’ll still show when running other workflows though

Great advice. That got rid of 99% of it. There’s just one bit right at the end where it whizzes straight across the top in less than half a second, so I reckon that workflow is fine.

Thanks!
