We are pleased to announce that we can now accept 3D Secure payments (such as those in India) for subscribing to Bubble plans. When subscribing using a 3D Secure payment you might get a pop-up describing an additional step to be taken, just click Continue and it should allow you to pay using this card. Let me know if there are any issues!
In my mind Bubble is very focused on the United States market. Even if itâs their biggest market, there are other countries that could increase their profit. Especially if they focused on payments using local currency. Stripe already operates in Brazil charging in BRL and several foreign companies make a lot of money selling in BRL.
Not speaking officially for Bubble, but from what I can tell we very much want customers to be successful all around the globe not just the US.
Just so I can understand a little bit better your concern, where would it be most beneficial to see the conversion to BRL? If we showed it on the App Plan page so you could tell the cost more easily? Would it be the same end cost, just a simpler user experience for currency conversion number OR is it actually going to end up saving you money on the purchase?
Hello, I keep getting this error when trying the Pay All Invoices Now option: âYou cannot provide both a mandate id and mandate information to 'pavment method options.â Earlier I would get a payment link via email when using this option. I have to resort to this because Bubble/Stripe cannot for some reason charge any of my credit cards issued in India automatically. I hope my paid plan is not disrupted in the meantime.
Trying to make bubble payments is quite frustrating for users in India governed by RBI guidelines for 3DS payments. Last 6 months we have been grappling with getting a mobile OTP for any additional payments. Subscription payments go through (not automatically) but manually (since it is below Rs. 15,000) However, when I try pay for overages (and for me this is a significant amount), error shown is your card was declined. there is not resolution from support who simply ask us to check with our bank as the message at their end is that our bank declined payment. Below SS of message from my bank. Hoping someone will address this issue we face monthly.
Yes, very much so. As of now, we are offline because recurring payment failed. It is so hard to keep our account running because Bubble isnât registered to accept auto-mandate payments. It still attempts to charge the credit card, which fails because it is over INR 15,000 and there is no extra layer of security that gets triggered. Ideally, instead of auto-debiting, they should be sending a link to the account holder to trigger the same 2-3 days before payment is actually due.
Iâm reading that Bubble is still quite focused on the US market and it has been 2+ years theyâve still not been able to provide a resolution. The only response is âpayment was declined by your bank, it would be a good idea to check with themâ and the bank says âpayment is not authorised as per the Reserve Bank of India guidelinesâ.
That is an absolute shame and such a headache. Iâm an expert at bubble, have used it for several client projects and was planning on building my own app on it. But Iâm forced to stay away from bubble until they fix this. Hope the bubble team sees this and handles it on priority, but who knows given we clearly arenât their target market.
