I set up my Airtable plugin and entered my API key selected the base and table but the initialize button is not working !!
I am getting a small error as warning that you need to initialise this table before it will work but button not working.

This happened to me too. I filed a bug report.
As a temporary workaround, you can use the Bubble API plugin to create the necessary API’s. Using the documentation at Airtable Web API it should be fairly straight forward.
For instance:
Bubble has fixed the issue.
I’m having trouble setting up the Airtable plugin in Bubble.
When trying to connect my Airtable base, the “Initialize” button remains inactive — I can’t click it to complete the setup.
Here’s the full context:
Plugin: Official Airtable plugin
Account label: Name
Personal Access Token: valid and tested directly in Airtable’s API (works fine)
Base: Prestataire Interne
Permissions: data.records:read, data.records:write, schema.bases:read, schema:tables:read
The plugin displays the base name correctly, but:
The “Table” dropdown is empty — none of my tables appear.
As a result, I cannot select any table.
The “Initialize” button stays greyed out, and I can’t proceed.
The error message says:
“You need to initialize this table before it will work.”
I also have several tables in my Airtable base.
If selecting a specific table is mandatory, I currently can’t do it since the field doesn’t list any tables.
I’ve already tried:
Refreshing the page,
Re-adding the plugin,
Recreating the token,
Verifying permissions on Airtable.
Nothing worked so far.
Hello there, guys!
Same issue here: Airtable Plugin doesn’t work anymore for me. It doesn’t load the database and the data doesn’t come for the application.
I think I’ll use the API Connector directly, as a workaround, instead of counting on this plugin. Real pity! =/
Guys, actually, my mistake: the plugin is working fine. Turns out that I was using the Airtable Free plan. ![]()
So, if you are facing the same problem, you have probably used the whole free API limit. It’s just 10k or 20k requests per month. So, depending on how big your application is, it’s quite easy to reach that.
