Align element in center

Hi I am new to bubble.is and in the process of creating my first app. I am struggling to understand how the form and element alignment works.

Take for instance, I have a form as shown below. Looking at the distance between 1 and 2 to the center of the form, I noticed the left side is shorter than the right side hence making it difficult to center objects.

• What could be causing this and how do i fix it?

Have you tried right-clicking on an element and click “center horizontally?” Trying to align things manually will cause pain and heartache.
