Announcing Buildprint AI: Build on Bubble with Claude Code and Codex 🎉

Thanks will fix

No, (Overridden) is a normal Bubble behaviour and applies when making changes to an element that has a style

The properties you have defined locally + overriden would not be maintained by any style changes

How’s Astra doing on BuildprintBench?

Haven’t tried it yet!

When the agent is stuck and you have to fork the conversation, is there a way to carry over the workspace? Keep getting first messages like this:

The sandbox is fresh — no workspace clone and no /output files from the prior conversation. Let me re-establish the environment. Any unapplied local edits from the previous session are lost.

No, not at the moment though possibly in future

Astra is a crap model except for computer use

Title: buildprint apply on a plugin silently deletes elements, assets, header, and mobile settings — and recovery via CLI is impossible

What happens: I have a private mobile plugin (3 elements). I edited only the code of two elements in a freshly cloned workspace and ran buildprint apply. The CLI reported:

Bubble accepted the plugin write. The verified document did not match the checked target. Run buildprint sync.

After that, the plugin draft in Bubble contained my two edited elements — but it had lost the third element (Safe Area Spacer), the plugin’s asset (placeholder image), the header, and the plugin settings (mobile platform flag + dependencies). None of these were touched by my edits and all of them were present in the cloned workspace.

It’s deterministic: I reverted the draft to the published version in the Bubble editor, made a fresh clone (verified all files were back), applied the same two-file change again — and got the exact same damage, byte for byte (same snapshot hashes).

Are you using the CLI, or Buildprint Web?

Buildprint Web

Have you asked Buildprint to make a bug report?

Yes i submitted it .

What happened to test users?

Kept getting this error, so I started looking for the list and couldn’t find it: I could not complete the run-mode check with the test user because the saved test-user lookup kept failing on the platform side.

They’re being removed precisely because most people don’t use them and an agent can log in as any user anyway.

Ah that’s too bad. The reason we’re using that feature is that we’ve got several types of users for one of our apps, with very distinct user experiences, so this way we’ll have to manually look up the email address of a test user that fits the specific context for each test.

No, you can just specify the user email to test as in the test. But tests are going to have a bigger overhaul in future anyway to be faster and more deterministic

BubbleScript available by default and via CLI, with performance improvements

BubbleScript is now fully supported and active for all projects. It has also been released via the CLI. To update, use buildprint update.

BubbleScript is a significant upgrade on previous versions of the Buildprint CLI. To read more about it, see here: Getting started | Buildprint | Docs

In addition, significant performance improvements have been shipped, meaning clone operations are 2x faster, and apply operations up to 5x faster for large apps.

Kind of agree after using it heavily for a day. The 3djs stuff you see on X is not representative. It’s just 4K slop instead of 720p slop. Also it speaks like Fable/Opus now, it’s obsessed with short fragments and the word “not.”

as expecting the bubblescript via CLI tried it with :

buildprint project clone xxx --branch xxx --dir

and get immediate error code 10

undefined is not an object (evaluating ‘$.length’)

This will be fixed in about an hour if you update the CLI! There’s a specific edge case with your app which is being fixed.

Hi @georgecollier, I’ve noticed the last couple of days that Claude is constantly asking to be reconnected, like every few hours. Anything you are already aware of?
