Any good (responsive) messaging page tutorials?

Hi

Are there any good tutorials, preferably video, that explains the setup of a messages/emails page like in the attached image? Specifically the segment I circled in red.

I could figure it out manually through trial and error but I am hoping there is a good video out there that can assist with speeding up the process.
