Anyone having issues with :count or database calls?

Ok this one is weird.

Trying to do a simple lookup in my database to see how many records I have… And it keeps coming back as 0.

The query is simple: Find all users with a code of 3482.

As you can see below, there is 1 user with a code of 3482. Thus my count should be 1.

Yet, when you run this in preview… you get… 0. (Yes, I already checked the Development vs. Live. None of this is “Live”… It’s all in development)

Am I going crazy? If I run it in Bubbles backend, I get a count of 1!

Ugh. Privacy rules. If I had a fricken dollar for every minute I wasted on privacy rule crap, I’d be rich.

It’s got to be privacy rules.

Yeah - So frustrating! It makes me not want to use them in my apps even though I know how valuable they are from a security perspective.

It took years for me to beat it into my pea-sized brain that when something isn’t working right that I swear should be working, check the damn privacy rules.
