I have a pre-made app (web version) and it’s quite big to recreate everything in mobile. I tried to copy elements from the web version to the mobile version and the designs don’t work (see image below).
I understand, this could be because not all elements (plugin + native from bubble) being used in the web version is supported, but even the native ones when copied are not showing up properly.
For a new created design this occurs sometimes as well. Curious to know if this happened to anyone else?
hi @insalman360
i ran into the same issue with a dropdown element
not sure what element you are using here.. but many of the elements you use in the web editor doesnt work in the native mobile editor..
but there is some different options to make it more native and mobile app friendly
can i ask what element you are trying to paste in?
for the design displayed in the image above, a lot of elements are being used including elements from 3-rd party plugins and custom made ones, some work smoothly, some don’t.
That will happen with some of the elements, since they also work in a native setup. Like an input for instance that works the same way in web and native app. But a normal dropdown element doesn’t works because the dropdown list could be longer than the screens dimension and therefor doesn’t work in a native setup. Same with popups, there doesn’t work in a native setup, but then you can use sheets instead.
My best advice is to build the native app from scratch and not copy and paste the elements from your web application.
Can you tell more about some of the elements you are trying to use in the native app?
No, not all elements can be used in the mobile version.. as said several times, it is advisable to research the forum before publishing and above all read the documentation carefully before coming across the design
