I’ve developed a native mobile app and successfully deployed the first build to the Apple App Store.
Now I’ve finished setting up the Google Play Store configurations in the Bubble Editor (under Mobile Settings), but I’m unable to deploy to the Play Store because the editor doesn’t seem to recognize that I’ve filled in all the required Android settings (both files and text inputs):
Thank you both for sharing. It seems this isn’t an isolated bug.
I just created a blank Bubble app and filled in all the Android settings from scratch, but I’m still facing the same issue. So it appears the problem isn’t related to the content of our apps or the Android configuration itself.
It’s been a day since I submitted the bug report, but I haven’t received a response yet.
@nick.carroll, if there’s any known issue with Google Play deployment at the moment, could you please share an update with us?
@sebastien.etter@akafjean — The Bubble team deployed a fix yesterday that removed the message from the Deploy page. However, I’ve deployed four times since then, and none of the builds have generated the Android app. I also haven’t received any emails with logs or failure messages.
Hi
Yes, indeed, the Bubble team did fix the initial issue yesterday, and the message has disappeared from the Deploy page.
However, on my end as well, I’ve initiated two deployments for my Android app, and both unfortunately failed. Like you, I haven’t received any emails with logs or failure messages explaining the reasons for these failures. It’s quite frustrating not to have any information to understand what’s happening.
Have you had any success with your more recent attempts, or are you still encountering the same problem?
Another potential indication that the Android build wasn’t created at all is the absence of its icon in the builds listed under the Mobile Settings tab:
The team has indeed resolved the first two issues — the Android settings are now properly recognized, and the deployment process is generating builds again.
However, a new issue has emerged: after uploading the build to the Google Play Store and installing it on my device for testing, the app crashes immediately upon loading. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, restarting the phone, generating a new build, and repeating the entire process, but the problem persists.
The support team mentioned on 07/14 that they are in contact with the developers to investigate the issue, but there’s been no resolution so far.
I appreciate any help you can provide. I’m really looking forward to getting this app live.
