So I saw this the other day and thought I just clicked into the wrong element, but seeing it again today it felt instinctively like a Bug since it is not working as it used to, but I suppose there might be some rational behind it that could label it as a ‘new feature’…is this a bug or new feature?

It is definitely a bug.

Yeah, I also noticed this behavior a few days ago. Basically, if you select expanded containers in the elements tree, both the container and its child elements will be considered separate elements when grouping. But I don’t know if this was the expected behavior.
But the weird thing here is what happens when you select the third container in your video. The children were not selected, so really weird.
I think the selection of container is not selecting the children, I think it’s just position of cursor, so the children of first two were selected by clicking on any element in tree below those children.
This hopefully is one thing Bubble might opt to fix after they broke it.
