Can I build Urban Dictionary in Bubble?

Hi there,

I am trying to build dynamically populated cards like in Urban Dictionary. I have tried about everything I can and every tutorial out there, but I can’t figure out a solution.

Is it possible to build something like Urban Dictionary in Bubble?

I’m not entirely sure what you mean by ‘dynamically populated cards’ or what exactly you have in mind…

But it should be fairly straight forward to build something like Urban Dictionary in Bubble (it’s a pretty basic database set up).

What exactly are you having trouble with?

Hi Adam,

Thanks for the reply. The main issue I’ve been struggling with is getting the card sizes to adjust depending on the size of the entry (ie. Word/Definition)

Right now, the cards are just repeating groups, but they are static in size.

If anyone else has any thoughts/solutions, I’d so appreciate it. Thanks,

Hello @folkesta

Text elements are usually not dealt with to their potential.

Also, designing tiles inside repeating groups can use some “hacking”

Both videos below could add some tricks of the trade that may help in your project:
