I would like to create an interactive visual that allows for the user of the site to adjust a pie chart with a scroll bar.
Example:
How do you use the internet?
- Video streaming
- Reading news
- Gaming
- Learning Bubble.io
- Other
The options would all start at 20% (5 options = 100%). The user would then use the scroll bar to approximate how they use the internet. Example, they would use the scroll bars to adjust the pie chart to:
- Video streaming: 40%
- Reading news: 20%
- Gaming: 5%
- Learning Bubble: 25%
- Other: 10%
Hope this makes sense. Is this possible with Bubble or with a certain plugin?
Do you mean a slidebar that would change the percentage value of a dataset in a pie chart. Can you provide a rough demo or something how it should come?
Yes a slidebar that would change the percentage value of a pie chart. The goal would be to have the user adjust the options with a slifebar and then have a visual to help.
I don’t want to show percentage values, I more so want to visually show how something is being used. I care more about adjusting the pie chart than displaying the exact percentages. I would like to capture the changes so if the exact percentages were captured in the backend datasaet that would be great, but the user does not need to see that information as it wouldn’t be beneficial - I want the visual to be simple and have the user estimate and not get wrapped up in specifics.

I have developed a pie chart plugin (testing) similar to your request. Whenever the slider is moved, chart updates accordingly in real-time. Let me know if this works for you.

Yes that looks great! I can edit the design accordingly but this is what I’m going for - I plan to remove the %'s shown in the circle & on the scroll bar and plan to combine the color coordinated legend with the scrollbar labeling.
Exactly that! Then have the legend be 1 vertical column.
