Change Mouse Pointer on Hover

Thought this would be easy, but I’m missing it. How do I change the mouse pointer when hovering over a text item within a repeating group’s cell? I can change the background to simulate highlighting, but when the mouse is over the text itself, the insertion cursor appears (which is not what I want).

Ok, so I think I’m just going to rethink the UI and go with an approach involving popup menus. It’s often easier to work within constraints than it is to beat something into submission.
