Create Orders From Real Restaurants

Hello Bubblers,

I am developing a streaming app and I would like to integrate a service where users can order something from a nearby restaurant for the night.

My initial thought was that I could use GrabHub, DoorDash, Uber Eats, etc APIs to create an order from them and ship it to my users. However, it seems like these services’ APIs are only for logistics and not for making an actual order from them.

So my question is, does anyone know where I can start? In summary, I want my users to choose a meal for the night and order on my website, then an API workflow will get that information and send it to a service that will fulfill it and deliver it. I think I’ll use the Bubble API connector for that because I don’t think there is any plugins for that yet.

I know this is possible but not sure where to start, and the internet doesn’t have any info for that either :frowning:

Taha

You can’t. If delivery platforms don’t offer the ability to make orders programmatically, you just can’t. There’s a whole host of reasons they don’t allow it.

I see. So are there any delivery platforms that fulfill orders from a website and automatically make an order from a specific restaurant for delivery? Are there any APIs for that?
Instead of having the user to order something from, for example, Uber Eats, why not just make the order in the backend somehow for a seamless experience.

Very unlikely.
