Are we not able to create tables via the data API? Seems like a really basic feature that’s missing. I have 100 fields in a CSV file, so I need to first manually create each field one-by-one and define the data type within the Bubble editor, and only then can I use the API to bulk import??
I don’t believe there is any way to do this currently unfortunately.
You can use dynamic fields and fields lists to do this. “Field name” “field value”
is you fields are static fields ? or you use dynamic fields like will 100 fields will change depending on each import?
chris has a right aproach for dynamic field solution in this aproach you will need a “table” field and a “row” field
row data type will have table field
row field will have json (list of text)
then you have to complate this two steps
turn you csv to json
after this schedule api workflow on a list to create rows add table to each things created to make a search for that table’s list of rows
then for Uİ to see this data on a table you will need this plugin
or you can create a group which contains all data type elements in it (date, number, text…) a custom field data type whis has custom fields data type in it and show them in a repeating group in that repeating group use the group and make the element of parent groups custom fields data type visible only.
and use this plugin in that group to extract values from json
so this way you can extract every value from json and create dynamic tables
if 100 fields is always going to same(static fields) you just create each type and bulk create them first metod wil be much faster experiance at Uİ and searches but much much harder to complate
