Creating a footer that stays on the page where I put it

Most of my pages are of fixed height. So I would like to add a footer at the bottom of the page, allowing a little space between the page content and the footer. What is a way to do this? Mine, move up right next to the content which to me does not look good.
Should I just create a footer that already has some blank space above it built in?

That would work. Depending on what your current page strucutre is you could also make your page’s layout type Align to Parent and then align the footer to the bottom of the page.

You can also create a footer inside a Floating Group.
