Dashboard Advice, How would you set this up?

Looking for some quick free advice.

I know how to make it work, just don’t know if it is the correct and optimal way.

I have a Dashboard page.

Works as it should for one category type of inventory inside an element.

For example:

For note, this inventory is tied only to them. I have them broken down in each category in an option set called 'Dealer Types"

“Roofing Dealer” sees only the inventory we have in our roofing supplies inventory.

Now, I need to add a “Flooring Dealer” where they will only be able to see what we have in our flooring inventory.

The rest of the dashboard is the same info. So say 3 elements inside one group is the only difference.

My quick question is, Would you create a new dashboard page for each category (i’m thinking no) or just a show this element when this dealer type is “flooring dealer” and hide “Roofing dealers” element inventory, etc.

I have not figured out yet and a little concerned that on page load, it will look for all the data for everyone’s inventory and vastly slow down the page.

Or is that the correct way to go?

Thanks in advance for any tips.

I’d just create each group as a reuseable - assuming the element changes a lot

if the element stays largely the same I might just pass in a parameter to change the search result based on the user type

Thanks for the response.

The element group has 3 groups in it with the same look but a bunch of different info.

I will make them as reusable groups.

Not to sound naive on this question but just making sure as I always try to over complicate things.

If I make each as a reusable element, in the workflow, is it as simple as on page load show this element when user type is “Flooring Dealer” and then a next show “roofing dealer” only when user type is roofing dealer, etc

Or would you do something different?

Thanks in advance
