Detecting Device type (e.g for OAuth Providers like google?)

Hey, wondering if there’s any native functionality to detect the user’s current device (e.g iOS or Android), so that when signing up with an Oauth provider it can follow the right link, or when viewing a map it can lead a user to apple maps rather than google maps on iOS, etc.

I understand there’s a zeroqode plugin for this, but it makes sense that there should be native functionality to support this.

Cheers!

Hi Marcel,

Have a look at our version: Device info Bubble Mobile Plugin | Bubble

We know it’s a paid plugin, but it’s just $9.

The plugin helps you identify whether the user is on web, Android, or iOS. That way, you can redirect them to the correct OAuth link or open Apple Maps instead of Google Maps on iOS, for example.

Best regards,
Mido

Thanks, I will consider the option - however I feel as though bubble should already have this functionality inbuilt seeing as there is already a native option for displaying a map as an apple map (when a user is on IOS).

Hey - here you go!

brilliant thank you!
