hey Zeroqoders!
We have published a new plugin - User device type detector
With this plugin you can detect users’ OS, Screen Orientation (Landscape, Portrait) Device type (mobile, desktop etc.), Current zoom level (%). The detector element has to be installed on the page but it can be made hidden.
Hi there, I’ve installed this plugin, but it is not working for me neither on my laptop, nor on my iPhone. I’ve tested it in my own app, on your demo page, and in both in Chrome and in Safari. Any idea what could be going on?
Thank you Michelle,
We recently updated the User detector scripts, and published new version 1.1.0. Once you Upgrade to the latest version, the issue should disappear.
Please let me know, if it worked for you or we should look deeper.
Does this plugin return the device type (e.g., android, iphone) or just the device category (e.g., mobile, desktop, tablet)? Either way why isn’t there any documentation on the potential values?
also asking the same thing, can this plugin detect when user is on ios/android and then display different groups? If not, is there any plugin out there like this?
