Dropdown with a subset of an option set's values

What’s the easiest way to offer a subset of option set choices in a dropdown? Am I missing something?

It’s a list of stuff so you can grab a subset by using number X - Z

It really depends on the use case and your option set configuration

Yeah I did it with merge A merge B merge C. But seems like there should be better way.
