Hi there Bubble community, I’m Kate, a product manager at Bubble, and I’m here with an important update that we’re thrilled to share. Starting in early April, the new workflow tab will transition to full general availability (GA) for all users, meaning it will automatically replace the old experience for everyone. Since the beta launched in the fall, it’s received an overwhelmingly positive response and engagement, with nearly 34,000 users opting in and 92% of them staying in the experience. This update represents a major improvement in how you’ll manage workflows in the Bubble editor — but it’s also a significant UX change. Once the new workflow tab rolls out to GA, the old interface will no longer be accessible. It’s a change we believe will significantly improve your ability to manage complex projects, whether you’re an experienced user or just getting started with Bubble, but we wanted to give you plenty of notice to prepare and explore the changes ahead of time. Why are we making this change? The updated workflow tab is designed to address challenges shared by our community, including: Providing more intuitive organization tools for complex workflows Making it easier to navigate the current interface, especially on large-scale apps Reducing confusion caused by coupling workflow names with events What’s changing? You can read through this thread to learn about all the changes we have added since the beta began, like an improved workflow canvas and better navigation tools. Thanks to everyone who provided feedback during the beta, we’re excited to announce that we’ve also launched the following new features over the past few weeks: [image][New Feature] New Workflow Tab in Beta Can see only about 10 workflows at a time Better overview of workflows: Added grid view of all workflows [image][New Feature] New Workflow Tab in Beta One suggestion would be to improve the visual cues for disabled workflows Better ability to see what’s enabled and disabled: We’ve updated the UI to show a red tag when the workflow is disabled [image]Monthly Community Update -- February 2025 Going back and forth where it resets each time is getting super annoying. Improved UX to keep you in your flow: Tabs no longer reset as you switch from the backend workflow tab to the design tab to the workflow tab Enhanced zoom functionality: We’ve enabled the ability for trackpad zoom, shortcut key zoom, and zoom toggle control, all on the workflow canvas. And another feature coming soon! Improved search: Re-introduce the menu bar search function. If you have not already, try the new workflow tab by opting in through the banner on the workflow tab or through Settings>Versions>Beta Features. Very annoying that the new workflow tab design has been forced on all users. The old design allowed me to have a much better overview over complex workflows. The new design feels more beginner friendly but less power-user friendly. Please allow the old workflow tab design to be enabled again :cry:

My suggestion would be to maintain both types of workflows, so users can choose whichever one they’re more comfortable with. Yes, it might cost more to support both options, but in return, it would likely lead to greater user satisfaction and a smoother overall experience. Flexibility goes a long way in keeping different user preferences aligned. the subject should be : Exciting news! :tada: Our company has decided to reduce the number of our users — because who needs growth when you can have confusion instead? :man_shrugging: Stay tuned for more user-unfriendly updates!

As have many people in this forum providing help to beginners and feedback to your product. Plugins and marketing. For free. And we really want to help you improve. But it seems you hardly let us. Here is another attempt. Leverage your community. It is your biggest asset. It provides free marketing. It makes great plugins, agencies, help videos, forum posts. @emmanuel please revert to the old workflow tab. It’s clearly not what users want - me included.

Respectfully, have you really read the feedbacks you are “thanking” us for ? If not, let me put it clearly : we percieve this new “Zapier” interface as a downgrade. Forcing it on us is even worse. We percieve no value added, rather the opposite, we find that it is decreasing productivity. It is not about reluctancy to “adapt to changes” : most of us here do not have a developer background and had to “adapt to” tools like Bubble, and you know (I hope) that the learning curve is not that easy, so we KNOW how to adapt to change. Problem here : you’re forcing something annoying, buggy, practically unusable for complex apps. We are not Zapier users, with simple workflows, to be set once in a while, and quasi-never to be altered. We build complex evolutive solutions requiring us to have a constant back and forth between a 1 and 360 degree view, and this new design is making us loose our big picture view. Please listen to the community, we are your ambassadors, your true and main asset (cant believe I have to stress this out …), but, never take us for granted. Like we moved yesterday from other tools to move to Bubble, we could also move from Bubble to other tools tomorrow. Hope this message gets quickly to the right eyes before it is too late.

Point nr 2 with renaming… I support it deeply - I always use F2 in Windows when renaming a file, as when using the dropdown I always have an option to use delete, which I always try to stay out of when renaming. And that is again - what can happen when I open a dropdown and work fast.
