Curious: what’s the benefit of hCaptcha compared to reCaptcha and Turnstile by Cloudflare?

Though I may not have a great dedicated response to this, I do know Google likes to take much more data than needed to just validate a token. That’s what hCaptcha is about, only getting what is needed.

This is a great article from Cloudflare themselves explaining why they made the switch from Google reCAPTCHA to hCaptcha.

In short, hCaptcha is just more secure and private.

Oh, and Google charges for reCAPTCHA now.

EDIT: Also, my plugin vs Bubble’s plugin actually checks if the validation has expired or not.

does hCAPTCHA provide non user interaction captchas?

Yes! I will be incorporating that very soon!

Unfortunately, Bubble is going through some issues with return data so I cannot really make too many further adjustments.

Two updates I’ll be adding soon:

  • The hCaptcha verification Badge (you can add this to your sites to make users know it’s more secure)
  • Invisible captcha (bind to any action within your application to trigger a validation).

Just an update: Now validator returns the values as intended since the API system has been fixed per-Bubble.
