What is the difference? Which one is right for Me?
Should I hire a freelancer?
Hiring a freelancer is when you need help on a project but don’t have time to learn how to use Bubble or maybe it’s not your goal. You just want someone to do the work for you and have the result.
As the saying goes, “Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To
Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime”
When you are looking for freelance work, you need someone to just do the work for you. You want them to give you a fish to eat for the day. Then in the future, you don’t mind paying the freelancer to fix things or add things to your project. Basically, catch another fish
for you.
This might work for some people. Learning how to create software is not their goal, maybe they are busy with family or other obligations.
What about tutoring?
Having a tutoring appointment is when you want to work on the project yourself but you just need some guidance. You want to invest in yourself, and spend the time to learn Bubble. This way, you will be able to modify the project, however you want, in the future. Also, with tutoring, you can work on your specific project. You get the help you need for the issues that you are running into.
This way, you are learning to fish so you can feed yourself for a lifetime.
This means that you want to set aside the time to learn Bubble, but you realize that it is an investment that will pay off in the long run.
Each person can decide what they need for their unique situation.
If you are looking for tutoring you can visit www.NoCodeMinute.com to book a tutoring session. We focus on teaching others how to fish .
What should I expect in a tutoring session?
-
When booking the appointment, it is best to have a list of things you want to go over. That way, the tutor can do research if needed and the session will go smoother if there is an order to follow.
-
Once you make the appointment, an email will be sent to you with the video conferencing link and password.
-
Join the session a few minutes early to make sure you don’t have and internet or technical issues.
-
At the time of the session, after a brief introduction, you will be able to share your screen with the tutor. This allows you to show the tutor what you are having issues with. The tutor will then use an annotation tool (an arrow) to point you in the right direction. The tutor will also explain why something doesn’t work and how to solve the problem. There are many ways to solve an issue, there might even be another alternative, if one way doesn’t work.
-
At the end of the session you will be smiling because you finally got your questions answered. Some people get very excited and start dancing
. That’s ok too.
-
If we didn’t get through your whole list, book another appointment so we can continue our progress.
-
Most students book a session once or twice a week. In between their sessions they get to work on their project and add to their list of questions.
-
By the end of a month, many students are able to launch
their first version of their app. Without tutoring, it may have taken months or even longer.
Hope this was helpful
