Guidelynes is live! 🚀

Hey everyone! :waving_hand:

I wanted to share something I’ve been building and just launched: Guidelynes
It is first time I am using bubble and development (with ux and design as well) took me about 15 months.

What is it? It’s a web-based platform for brand designers to create, host, and share online brand guidelines.

Who is it for? Brand designers and agencies who are tired of sending massive, static PDF brandbooks that get lost in emails or suffer from endless version-control issues.

What does it do? Instead of sending a PDF, you just send a clean, interactive web link. It lets clients explore typography, colors, logos, and assets all in one modern, always-up-to-date web page.

You can check out a live example of web-based brand guidelines here: https://guidelynes.com/live/aether
And the main site is here: https://guidelynes.com/

I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Great job!

Looks pretty neat. Would you mind sharing some of the inspiration behind the site?

Absolutely love the concept, only I have different application:smiling_face_with_tear:.

Sure, what kind of inspiration do you mean?

You did a good job :slightly_smiling_face:

Clean CSS in the header.

I did notice one little typo…

In your page title and social meta tags, there’s a missing space right before the pipe character (Tool| Guidelynes instead of Tool | Guidelynes). Quick fix, but adding that space makes sure Google reads them as two separate words.

Also, I see you added a favicon, but you should also add an image preview card.

Would be good to have a few testimonials.

Also, I think the hero headline could be better. You start with a negative, which isn’t a good idea in marketing: Forget PDFs Make them alive. I would start with something positive like: Interactive Brand Guidelines Your Clients Will Actually Use. And then the subhead: The web-based platform for brand designers and agencies to create, host, and share digital brandbooks on custom domains—no static PDFs required.

The other thing that kind of caught me was that your site is ‘Guidelynes’ and then all over the page you call them guidelines. At the end, you say guidelines is finally open.

Thought maybe you could just use Guidelynes and trademark the name? Just a thought. You probably have your own reasons.

Overall though, you did a great job, and I think the site is very impressive!

oh things like: what motivated you to build it? Why this specifically? Did you take inspiration from anywhere?

Things like that

Thank you for valuable feedback!
I’ll definitely fix the mistakes, thanks for pointing them out.
Copywriting is something I’ll definitely continue to experiment with.

I see.

I came up with this idea because there’s one tool in our small country that solves this problem. But I don’t like the way it looks or how it works at all. And yet it has its own customer base. I was convinced I could deliver a much better product. So I went for it. I thought it would be done in 2–3 months. But it ended up taking those 15 months, lol.

Since I’m a brand designer myself, this is exactly the pain point that bothers me when it comes to PDF manuals. So I knew exactly what I needed the product to be able to do—at least for the MVP.

As for the visual side, I get inspiration from all over the place. Pinterest, Awwwards and other designers.
