How to attach file to thing if thing doesn't exist already?

Yeah, found another method but not sure if you’ll find it useful

"Make this File private and attach this file to" possible improvements

We had the same issue. I figured it out, attaching it to the current user first. Once you created a thing, you trigger a backend workflow that re-uploads the file and attaches it to the created thing. Then, you delete the previous file.
