How to deal with subdomains on bubble?

Hi there,

I don’t even know if this is a bubble issue but I would really be grateful if someone could help me out with that!

I’m currently on a paid “personal plan” for my bubble app with my custom domain that I purchased on Godaddy. I would like to create a subdomain, and connect a Wordpress site for additional blog contents and rank my app on google.

It looks like I need a webhosting service to create subdomains (and not just a regular domain name purchased). From what I understand, bubble hosts its customers to AWS.

My question is :
Do I need to host my Bubble app on Godaddy webshosting services to create subdomains?
If so, does Bubble allow me to do so?
If not, is there another way to connect a full Wordpress site to my bubble app?

I gotta say I’m really not familiar with domains/subdomains…
Thanks a lot for your help !

Sylvain.

It should be pretty simple (and FREE) to generate a subdomain directly from your domain provider. For GoDaddy, check this: https://www.godaddy.com/help/add-a-subdomain-4080

In your Bubble app, connecting your app to a “regular domain” is the same process as connecting your app to a subdomain.

Thanks @dbevan for your reply.

I’ve actually seen this article on godaddy.
This is “free” from the moment that you have registered to a Webhosting service.
They offer several plans for it but you still need to subscribe monthly.
It looks like this method doesn’t work if you only own a domain name.

I’m thinking in subscribing anyway and don’t think that connecting bubble should be an issue.
If I ever encounter a problem, I’ll let it know on here!

Thanks for the help.
